UNDER THE BIG TOP

To celebrate a wonderful first term of 2025, our Pump dancers will be showcasing their skills, talents and hard work in our end of term showcase ‘Under the Big Top’. Join us for a fun and family friendly performance filled with Hip Hop, Contemporary, Jazz and a little bit of circus magic!

Some of the most famous and exciting circus acts will be brought to life by our very own dancers and staff.

Under The Big Top has been split into three showcases. Showcase 1 is for all our Khandallah, Eastbourne, and preschool dancers. Whilst Showcase 2 & 3 is for all our Wellington dancers.
Dancers are only needed at the showcase they are performing in. 
Please check which showcase your child is in, before purchasing tickets.

  • SHOWCASE 1 (Preschool, Khandallah & Eastbourne)
    Date:     Sunday 6th April, 2025
    Dancers Arrival Time: 10:15am (for dress rehearsal)
    Preschool Dancer Arrival Time: 11:45am
    Show Time: 12pm
    Finish Time: 1pm (approx)
    Our youngest dancers will be put on near the start of the show. 
    Dancers can leave after they have performed.

    SHOWCASE 2 (Wellington)
    Date:     Sunday 6th April, 2025
    Dancers Arrival Time: 1:15pm (for dress rehearsal)
    Show Time: 3pm
    Finish Time: 4pm (approx)

    SHOWCASE 3 (Wellington)
    Date:     Sunday 6th April, 2025
    Show Time: 5pm
    Finish Time: 6pm (approx)

  • Child/Student $10
    Adult $15
    Family $40 (2 adults, 2 children/students)
    Children aged 2 and under are free. Children are ages 3 - 14.

    All showcase costumes will be put together with a mix of what Pump already owns and what dancers may have at home.
    Specific costume details for your dancers routine have been emailed to all showcase dancers.

  • Do dancers need a ticket to watch?
    We will have some mats at the front of the hall for younger dancers to watch the show following their performance. However, older dancers and those in multiple routines will be asked to remain backstage during the show.
    All dancers will have the opportunity to watch each other at our dress rehearsal.
    **Dancers wanting to watch a showcase that they are not in will need a ticket.

    Should dancers wear make-up?
    Make-up is completely optional. As this is our more relaxed performance of the year, dancers are welcome to make the decision on make-up. However, we do kindly ask all dancers to have slick and tidy hair. Hairstyles will be emailed to dancers with their costume information.

    What do I do if I need help with costumes?
    Everyone’s costume will have a mix of what Pump already owns and items dancers have at home. If there is anything you do not own or need help with, we are always here to help. Please email us at least 1 week before the show and we will be happy to help!
